Recycling can be described in the form of a process, a choice and for some, a way of life, however all those in favor of preserving the earth will agree that either way it is a good cause that is necessary for the survival of our planet and all that dwells in it. Cliche as it may be, it is important for future generations to witness and enjoy all that we get to do so ourselves and it is up to us to ensure that.

There are many benefits to recycling materials such as, elimination of land used for landfills, eliminating air pollutants. Recycling also saves natural resources as materials are reused, creates job opportunities, creating fun and eco-friendly projects, and it generates income by recycling at centers or selling DIY projects.

Reusable materials can be reused by means of making donations, repurposing or upcyling them into "new" fresher products and give them new purposes. Recycling boosts the national economy by creating jobs, saving energy, production materials cheapen and lower waste management costs. On the environment, recycling reduces pollution and contamination and reduces the environmental impact from mining or extracting fresh raw materials. So make it up to you to save and preserve the earth.

Plastic? Recycle it!

Data shredders, a UK based organisation states that " Plastic recycling is important because it is having a hugely negative effect on our environment.  Our Recycling our waste products is not only better for the environment, but it means that there is less rubbish buried on landfill sites".  And while that clearly states the importance of recycling plastic, it also highlights the dangers of plastics on the environment. Plastic is not a biodegradable material thus making it dangerous. Making a new plastic requires a significant amount of fossil fuels so we should all be wary of the amount of plastics we use. Dams and rivers that have plastics dumped in them often result in loss of aquatic species and healthy clean water. plastics are reusable and can be repurposed into new items by weaving them into bags, rugs and even shoes. I have found plastic DIY projects to be filled with many ideas as it is easily cut and can be molded into whatever shape I desire....

How to recycle newspapers.

When it comes to recycling paper, my favourite thing to do is re-purposing projects that are fun, easy and practical, which is not bad for saving trees that provide us with oxygen and the general biodiversity.  When re-purposing newspapers it is cost effective and most  Do it yourself projects do not involve operating heavy machinery as compared to other materials such s glass.  One can reuse paper by using it as a cover for books, gift wraps etc. Using newspapers as a wrap gives the covered items a unique and modern look.
